Strong, 73 of South Charleston, died Friday, September 4, 1998 in Community Hospital.  He was born October 11, 1924 in Enon, Ohio, the son of John M. and Daisy (Hart) Strong.  He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rose (Domanek) Strong; one daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Charles Boles of Mechanicsburg; one son, Mike Strong and Robin Noel of Springfield; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Martha and Paul Remley of South Vienna, Catherine Shockey of Urbana, and Gertrude Hardman of California; one granddaughter, Heidi M. Boles of Mechanicsburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Melinda Strong; one son, Richard Strong; three sisters and two brothers.  Services will be held at the convenience of the family.  The family is being served by the Littleton & Rue Funeral Home, Springfield."

STRONG, 58, living on the Rebert pk, Springfield, Route 8, died at his home Wednesday at 4:30 a.m., of a heart attack. Although he had been in poor health for some time, he had felt about as usual Tuesday, and had spent a part of the day husking corn. He was a native of Clark County, and had lived in the vicinity of Enon most of his life. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Daisy STRONG; five daughters, Mrs. Elmer WILSON, of Yellow Springs, Mrs. Russell HAYES, of Albuquerque, N. M., Mrs. Frank SHOCKEY, of Catawba, Mrs. Lawrence HARDMAN, of Springfield, and Miss Martha STRONG, at home; three sons, John, Robert and Jene, all at home; his father Samuel STRONG, of Springfield; and two sisters, Mrs. Bessie MCCORD and Mrs. Iva AYER, both of Springfield.
