      Passed away Thursday evening, May 4, 2000. Mrs. Strong was born August 31, 1907 in Trufant, MI, the daughter of Christian and Bolina (Hansen) Jensen, and was a resident here since 1928. She attended Western Michigan University. She was a member of Westwood United Methodist Church, the National Assoc. of Retired Federal Employees, and the Metropolitan Auxiliary. On May 7, 1932 she was married to Levi Strong, who passed away January 28, 1990. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Glenn Roberts of Kalamazoo; four grandchildren, Jerry (Donna) Roberts, David (Carol) Roberts, Debra (Jerry) Havenaar, and Diane (Gordon) Henderson; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister. Services will be held Monday at 10:00 A.M. at the LANGELAND Family Funeral Homes MEMORIAL CHAPEL 622 S. Burdick St. with the Rev. Mr. Eric Beck officiating. Private interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Westwood United Methodist Church.
