  Notes	Strong, Samuel           1880   228D   Newton Twp The Tingley typescript says Samuel Strong was born on a farm in Central County, PA (Centre County is the correct name verfied by his marriage application to Sarah Dillinger) She states he was a wheel dresser by trade and never drank or smoked in his life but did chew. I remeber sitting on the front porch of 242 East Grand Ave. in Springfield, OH where he lived with his daughter Iva and he told me stories of his boyhood on the farm. Boyish pranks such as turning over outhouses, etc were always done by his friends but not him personally. I was too young to remember the details as I was only nine at the time of his death. I do clearly remeber him telling me he was an April Fool being born on 1 Apr and that I was almost one. Roger L Ludlow. Affiliated in 1878 Bethel Baptist Church, Bethel Twp, Clark County, OH.
