      Of Vicksburg, MI
      After a long illness, Ted went to be with the Lord Sunday evening, April 27, 2008. He was born March 11, 1931 in Kalamazoo, MI, a son of Frederick and Marvel Jackson and had been a life long area resident. Ted served in the U.S. Navy from 1948 to 1952 and he retired from Eckrich in 1972. He enjoyed reading and was a master craftsman. Ted's greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Julie Taylor and a sister, Eileen Dalrymple. Ted is survived by his wife of 25 years, the former Marcia Skelton. Also surviving are six children, Joe (Shirley) Jackson of Kalamazoo, Jerry (Christina) Jackson of Delton, Denise (Michael) Becker of Mendon, Kirk Liggett of Alabama, Lisa Brunden of Alabama and Annette (Brian) Kelley of Vicksburg; 23 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Littell of Gobles; and several nieces and nephews. A service lead by members of his family will be held 10:30 Thursday morning at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage, Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. Burial in Fort Custer National Cemetery with full military honors will follow services. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions should be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan. 269-343-1508

      Loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, Marcia passed away on Friday, January 29, 2010 with her family by her side. Marcia was born August 1, 1938 in Grand Rapids, MI, the youngest of four daughters born to Russell V. and Elouise (Culp) Skelton. She worked for Mead Paper Company for 27 years in the production department. On May 8, 1982, she married Theodore "Ted" Jackson, who preceded her in death on April 27, 2008 and whom she dearly missed. She was also preceded by her parents; and a daughter, Julie Taylor. Marcia was first and foremost dedicated to her family. She always put them ahead of
      everything else, especially
      her grand and great grandchildren. She loved playing Yahtzee, was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Dancing Divas, the Main Street Review and the Oasis Prayer group. She loved traveling and visiting Northern Michigan, especially the area around Bitley, MI, where she spent many happy times. Marcia is survived by her six children, Joe (Shirley) Jackson of Kalamazoo, Jerry (Christina) Jackson of Delton, Denise (Michael) Becker of Mendon, Kirk Liggett of Alabama, Lisa Brunden of Alabama, and Annette (Brian) Kelley of Vicksburg; 23 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Diane Buell of Vicksburg, Carol (Ken) Lacey of Portage and Patricia (Robert) Strong of Grand Junction; several nieces, nephews, and many cousins, including a special cousin, Jan Konkle. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave., with Pastor Philip Kok officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Custer National Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be
