  	WILLIAM E. HALLADAY William E. Halladay died unexpectedly at 6:30 o'clock Tuesday evening at the family residence, 781 West Macon street. He would have been seventy-two years old in October. He had been in poor health for some time, but it was not thought that he was seriously ill. About a week ago while working in his yard he became overheated, and since that time his condition had grown worse, but was not such as to cause alarm. While sitting on his porch Tuesday afternoon he became suddenly ill and died in a few minutes. William E. Halladay was born in Auburn, N. Y., Oct. 12, 1850 (sic 1847), He made his home in Chicago for fifty years before coming to Decatur last August to take a position in the office of his brother, Louis P. Halladay. Besides his wife he leaves one brother, Louis P. Halladay of Decatur. The body was removed to the Floran & Sons undertaking establishment and prepared for burial and will be taken to Chicago, where the funeral will be held.
