  Established with his son L. P. Halladay L. (Lou) P. Halladay was born in Auburn, New York and in infancy moved to Chicago where his father (William Halladay) operated a manufacturing concern. At age 14, Lou began to work for his father and learned to be a machinist. When the bicycle boom came, he and his father established the Marion Cycle Works at Marion, Indiana where Halladay remained for twelve years.   	DEATH OF WILLIAM H.HALLADAY The death at Marion, Ind., of William H. Halladay is announced. Mr. Halladay for years conducted machine shops in this city, occupying part of Barber's shops in Washington street at one time and later locating on the raceway East of Mechanic street. He afterwards removed to Marion. He will be remembered by  the older residents of Auburn, as he was for years a prominent businessman.

  	W. H. Halladay Dead.  William H. Halladay, president of the Marion Cycle Company, died at his residence in Marion, Ind., Monday morning. Mr. Halladay was seventy years old and death came not wholly unexpectedly, as he had been ailing for some time. He was beloved by his friends, and all who knew him will mourn his departure. The policy of the Marion Cycle Company will in no wise be affected by the death of Mr. Halladay, as Lew Halladay has for some time been superintendent of the works and has managed the affairs of the house. He has been for the last two months, and will in the future, be assisted by Will Halladay, who is a stockholder in the Marion company.
