  	Virginia Mary Cole July 28, 1922– Sept. 4, 2009 Virginia passed away peacefully on September 4, 2009. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI to and Frances Wright Smith and Garrit Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald V. Cole, her son, Michael J. Cole, brothers Robert and James. She is survived by her sons David G. Cole (Cindy), Patrick J. Cole (Katherine), and Richard A. Cole (Rosemary); and eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. In addition she is survived by her loving cousins Arthur Schattie (Dacia) and his sister and Virginia's best friend, Dorothy Benson who preceded her in death. For the last three years she has been lovingly cared for by the staff of Rose Meadow Elder Care in San Jose headed by Lourdes Yashar. We all shall miss Virginia's quick wit and lively spirit as she so often would break into a dance and sing along to her favorite songs. After a private interment next to her late husband, there will be a memorial celebration for friends and family to be announced at a later date.
