David Harry Josephson was born: , in Bay City, MI. He came into this world as Harry
Fitelburg. When his parents split up his Mother changed his name to David H. Josephson, which was her Father's name. However, she never had Dave's name legally changed. That's why I had Shirley send you a copy of his birth certificate.
We have had to contact an attorney because of the name difference. I believe we're going to have to go to court about it.
David H. Josephson married Catherine Biry Massaro on . I was three years old. Dave was the only Father we ever knew. He was married to my Mother for 47 years. I think that's great for a second marriage.
Ma died in 1992, and Dave never got over the loss of his "Catherine." He once told me that he even missed their fights. Now, that's love!!!!
This was a first marriage for Dave. He never had any children of his own. He always introduced us girls as "my daughter," he never referred to us as step-daughters.
Dave was taken into the hospital the day after Don died. He had been sick and Don's death really upset him. On August 24th., the doctor sent Dave home to die. Dave died August 25th., 2001, the day after we buried Don. So, with-in six days we lost two very special loved ones.
Dave's parents were: Joseph Fitelburg & Fannie Josephson.
Fannie has her maiden name on her headstone. She's buried in the Jewish cemetery in Bay City, MI. Both of Dave's parents were Russian Jews. I have no idea whatever became of his Father.
We've never heard anything about the man in all these years.
Dave is buried in Floral Gardens Cemetery, next to his "Catherine."
I also have more info about Dave's family if anyone wants more for their records. Dave only had one sister who died in infancy.
I hope I haven't forgotten anything. If I have just contact me and I'll fill you in.
