  	DEATH OF AN OLD CITIZEN.-In our obituary column we notice to-day the death of Mr. Philo Halladay at the ripe old age of nearly seventy-five years Mr. Halladay came to Auburn more that fifty years ago, fifty-two we think, and has followed the business of blacksmithing, at his shop, near the North street railroad crossing uninterruptedly during that time. So long a residence in one place is rare among our changing people, and indicates an unusual steadfastness of character. A man of strict integrity and industrious habits, Mr. Halladay won the respect of all who knew him, and leaves behind an honorable name. His health and strength were continued to and beyond the limit of three score and ten, and until quite recently he has been almost as actively engaged in business as during his younger years. The funeral services will be held at his late residence, on North street, tomorrow at 4 p. m.
