  	William Henry Conine   W. H. Conine died Friday last, Nov. 27, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Dora Upton, in Colon, Mich., aged 81 years after an illness of four days with congestion of the lungs and heart failure.   Mr. Conine was born in Coxsackie Landing on the Hudson River. When a boy he came to this town with his father, living on a farm. In 1848 he was married to Elizabeth Van Auken of this town. He and his wife owned and resided on a farm north of Newark until 1882, when they came into this village where they have lived ever since until a yar ago, when they went to Michigan to reside with their daughter, both being in feeble health.   Mr. Conine is survived by his wife, who is now very ill, and not expected to survive him very long; his dauther, Mrs. A. E. Upton, and one son, Frank E. Conine of Stratford, Conn. The other son, William, died about a year ago. Deceased was one of a family of nine children, three of whom now survive; a sister, Mrs. Byron White of Three Rivers, Mich., and two brothers, John Conine of Leonidas, Mich., and Fletcher Conine of Butte, Montana.   Mr. Conine was one of the well-known, prosperous farmers of this town, geneal in disposition, known by nearly everybody in the town, on terms of good friendship with all his neighbors and many friends.   The remains were brought to Newark by the son-in-law, Mr. Upton, arriving here at noon on Sunday. They were met here by the son Frank, who came on from Stratford.  At half-passed two a brief funeral service was held in Roche's undertaking rooms, Rev. J. C. Ball officiating.
