  Notes	By 1835 he had left home and arrived at the home of his Uncle Horace STEVENS (youngest son of  Abel Sr.) on the shore of Lk Michigan, 12 June 1837, still in his teens.  He wrote many letters.  His first asked  his father to send  a pair of good winter pants and a couple of shirts with cousin Williston (who he expected to come west).  In 1838 he was in Perry, when he sent back directions.  He died at the home of his daughter Elizabeth in Oklahoma.
