Submit Headstone Photo Notes - Thought I would fill you in on my family a little bit.My dad [Phil] worked for G.M. for 35 years. Heretired in 1976. That fall they sold their house and boughta 32 foot motor. Mother[Edna] had only been driving for afew years. She took drivers Ed when she was 60 years old.She learned to drive that motor home. It scared me. I never drove it until after Dad died in 1994. They didn't goout of state in the winter, they parked it in my drivewayor my brother, Dave's. They did take trips to Branson, MOand to Colorado.My mother was a little women. She was just about 5 foottall and weighed all of 120 on her best day. She used toget a kick out of the looks she got when she stepped out ofthat big vehicle.She lived in the house with me after dad died but she kepther motor home and drove it every until she went in thehospital the last time.She had cancer surgery for colon cancer and suffered astroke a week later and died a week after that. She neverhad to quit driving and I was glad of that. I know shewouldn't have handled it well.
